Kozeletska Intensive Care Hospital is a multidisciplinary intensive care facility and belongs to the main hospital of the Chernihiv region. Serves more than 40,000 residents of four public health centers. The institution employs 296 employees. The hospital has 8 inpatient departments with 160 beds and a consultative-diagnostic polyclinic with a capacity of 300 visits per business day.

The main purpose of the activity is to provide medical services to the population by providing medical services in the order and scope established by law and medical assistance by professionally trained medical workers, aimed at prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation in connection with diseases, injuries, poisonings, as well as in connection with pregnancy and childbirth. In addition, the activities of our hospital are aimed at ensuring equal and fair access of all citizens of the state to medical services of appropriate quality in accordance with state standards and protocols for providing medical care at the secondary level.

At present, the provision of medical care in the hospital is provided free of charge within the limits of the medical guarantee packages of the National Health Service of Ukraine. As of January 1, 2023, the institution concluded a contract for 15 packages of medical services under the medical guarantee program with the National Health Service of Ukraine.

The hospital includes: a consultative-diagnostic polyclinic with a capacity of 300 visits per shift, consultative medical care is provided in 30 specialties, about 70,000 patients are consulted annually by polyclinic doctors. The inpatient unit has 160 beds in 8 departments, a 10-bed intensive care unit, auxiliary services, and a clinical diagnostic laboratory.

Round-the-clock inpatient care is provided in 8 specialized departments of the hospital, where more than 6,000 sick residents of the district receive emergency and planned care every year. More than 1,000 surgical interventions are performed in the hospital's surgical departments per year.

The hospital is sufficiently staffed with medical personnel - 243 employees, including 54 doctors and 93 nurses.

The hospital develops minimally invasive and endoscopic surgery, operations on the musculoskeletal system, endoprosthesis, and palliative care.

In recent years, the hospital has reconstructed the emergency department and installed a computed tomography scanner, a digital X-ray machine, anesthesia and respiratory equipment and ventilators, an endoscopic system for surgery, ultrasound systems, and others.

In 2020, the commission of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine confirmed the hospital's first accreditation category. The institution's medical care quality management system is certified in accordance with the requirements of DSTU ISO 9001.

From the first days of the war, the communal non-profit enterprise "Kozeletsk Intensive Care Hospital" of the Kozeletsk Village Council has been providing assistance to servicemen, civilians and internally displaced persons who suffered as a result of the terrible Russian aggression. It is worth noting that among the institution's patients seeking medical help, there are also many elderly and unemployed people. Despite the achievements, the hospital currently needs constant help, both from the State and from charitable organizations.
